Institute of Legal Research (IIJ, for its acronym in Spanish)
It plans, develops and disseminates research in different branches of Legal Science. The training offered covers a great variety of themes such as General Penal Law, Copyright, Agrarian Law, International and Intellectual Property among others.
Objectives
To do research on the Legal Sciences Area, preferably oriented towards the prior problems of the Costa Rican reality.
Disseminate the academic production of the Institute through different means
Main functions
To develop research programs and projects
To publish books of research findings.
Twice a year, to publish two volumes with articles of professors and researchers, national and foreigners, about different topics of Law Science both in the Law Journal IUS Doctrina and the Legal Science Magazine.
To conduct academic activities (Congresses, seminars, forums, talks, and others), to raise awareness of issues of national relevance, in the legal sciences
